About Michael Peacock

I'm an experienced lead software developer and software CTO, providing consultant CTO and software development services to technology businesses through my business Parity Bit Systems.

For the past four years, I've served as a freelance CTO for a range of clients, prior to that I served as the full-time CTO for a VC-funded start-up, and as the CTO for a technology investment company. I have a degree in Software Engineering from Durham University, and I am a Zend Certified Engineer (PHP).

Since 2014 I've been the organiser of PHP North East, a monthly user group for the PHP and Laravel community in the North East.

I've had 8 technical books published, served as the technical reviewer for a range of other technical books, and regularly speak at user groups and international conferences.

Outside of technology, I'm a Committee Member for Healthwatch Gateshead, and am involved in campaigning with the Liberal Democrats.
